T-Square was first published in 1930 and became Shelter Magazine in 1932.  Maxwell Levinson was the founder.  The magazine became the premier publication for the Modernist movement.  It lasted until in 1939.

Shelter was edited by Philip Johnson for many years .

1931 was volume 1. 1932 was volume 2 with 5 issues.  1939 was volume 3 with 8 issues.
