Edgar A. Wilson

    Graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1942. Earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M, followed by a degree in architecture from the University of Florida in 1949, along with Martin Gundersen.
Career

Worked for Richard E. Jessen in Tampa; while working with Jessen, they built the Fort Myers Fire Station and Fort Myers High School. Worked with Gundersen until 1951; went to Salzburg until 1954; upon return, partnered with Gundersen from 1954 to 1978. Established Edgar Wilson Architects 1978-1985, then was a partner in Wilson-Sheeley 1985-1992 and Wilson-Moore 1992-1998.

Known for

Many local churches, including St. Cecilia, Resurrection of Our Lord, and St. Leo, Fort Myers Country Club, Cypress Lake Country Club, and the original (1949) Fort Myers High School.
