Southern Architect and Building News was started in 1882.  It was first called Southern Architect but by the 1890's it merged with Southern Building News to become Southern Architect and Building News. Harman Publishing Company in Atlanta became the publisher in 1910.The editors include Thomas H. Morgan, Charles W. Hubner, B. H. Watt, and Ernest Ray Denmark.
