STAN ALAN SACKLEY (1937-2001)

Sackley was born in Los Angeles County. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in architecture in 1951. In the early 1960s, prior to forming his own firm, Sackley partnered with Herman Charles Light. Sackley was never licensed as an architect but maintained a successful design firm in Palm Springs CA. He received national fame when his house for James Hollowell was featured in Playboy in April 1966. Sackley is best known for mid-century Modern homes along Caliente Drive.
