American House-Carpenter was a series with illustrated how-to articles including practical information and rules collected and developed by prominent New York architect Robert G. Hatfield, a founding member of the AIA. It ended in 1883 with the latest editions edited by Hatfield's brother, architect Oliver P. Hatfield.
